BIO
Ahmara Smith, Illustration and comics.  I'm currently a junior pursuing a B.F.A in Sequential Art at Savannah College of Art and Design. I was born and raised in Atlanta and I love drawing, and writing comics! In my free time I like learning languages and collecting vinyl records. 
I'm currently available for freelance work, commissions, and internships. Let's make great art together! 
EXPERIENCE
Illustration and Graphic design intern, August 2016-present. Streetcat Media. Collaborated with clients and programmers to complete assigned illustration and graphic design projects for an Atlanta-based tech startup.
Illustrator, March 2017. chubby anthology. Provided stand alone illustrations for Chubby Anthology Volume 2: Roller Derby. 
Comic Artist, February-March2017. Comics for Choice. Collaborated with writers Andrew Carl and Katie Brown to create a comic featured in the comic anthology "Comics for Choice" by Hazel Newlevant (Chainmail bikini).
Comic Artist, September 2016- February 2017. Margins Publishing. Collaborated with a writer (Saf Davidson) and editors to create a comic featured in the award-winning Queer Historical anthology "Dates" (volume 2).
